Can a person with Criminal Records Become the PM of India?

By Dr. Abdul Ruff

Regular communal violence and rampant corruption etc seem to promote Hindutva forces in India.

The right wing extremist Hindutva leader and Gujarat chief-minister Narendara Modi has his palms soaked in blood of Muslims while he continues to clamor for Prime ministerial post for quite some time with backing from Hindutva mother organization RSS which control all Hindu parties in India and abroad.
Modi is doing openly exactly what the Indian state wants to secretly and hence judiciary and media support him.

Pseudo-Patriotism and Ultra Fanaticism
Today all Hindutva parties stand fully exposed as pseudo-patriots because of their corruption instincts in illegal mining cases. They think they are the sole custodians of Indian resources and they are the right to loot them as legitimate citizens. Principles are null and void in Indian polity while the state promotes the corrupt people in all domains- not just in cricketism, military or judiciary.

Indian premiers and top leaders are out of range for punitive measures for their promotion of corruption in the country. As a result, corruption has stayed as core ideology of Indian system.
While taking full credit for app development programs in Gujarat state (though the state was somewhat developed even he took over as chief-minister!), Narendra Modi refuses to take the blame for all crimes and atrocities committed to Muslims in the state. That Modi refuses even feel or say sorry for the massacre of Muslims during his tenure only shows his hard core Hindutva fanaticism agenda meant only to advance to national politics and PM seat – and not because that helps the party.

A major pseudo-patriot with an aggressive Hindutva headlight wants to be seen by the voters as anti-Muslim and anti-anti-secular opposing any secular agenda for India. That is why refused to attend the National Integration Council meeting convened on 22 September to discuss the ways for contain anti-Muslim violence following the latest Muzzabarnagar massacre of Muslims.
Modi hates both Muslims and Islam and he believes that his aggressive stance showcasing arrogant Hindutva policy is like by the Hindus. By implicit, Modi also believes by insulting and injuring Muslims he serves the cause of Hinduism.

Let Fanatics feel insecure!
Everyone has a right to think big. But none everyone can achieve what one wants. Many people have achieved great feats without any pre-planning. Luck and upper blessings take a few persons to higher heights of life.

I was surprised see a piece of news that many well known Indians have refused to be a part of Indian if Gujarat CM N. Modi becomes the PM. My senior colleague at Mysore University and highly acclaimed writer Dr. UR Aanatha Murthy reportedly said he would not like to live in a country ruled by a person like Modi.

I am surprised that URA made this remark, instead of categorically saying that a criminal like Modi can never become Indian PM, he said he does not want to live under such guys as PM.  His anger, anguish and antipathy are reasonable and logical.

He should faith in the people’s ability to deny him the privilege of becoming PM even  temporarily. He should have forthrightly said Modi can never be Indian PM. That would have made some sense to ordinary people like me who know him for years now.

Can Modi or any other person with clear criminal records become PM of India?
Never!

Pure RSS Gimmicks
When Advani refused to endorse the Modi candidature for PM’s post, a cleaver Modi came out with an RSS brand new trick of denying harboring any PM ambitions and he said he does not want to the PM at all. Quickly, the RSS began its political media work by meeting all Hindutva leaders especially the tallest man Advani to ensure support for Modi as PM candidature. In fact the RSS tires all tricks to refine the fading image of the BJP.

That trick worked. Advani caved in to known RSS pressure tactics. But that is only a tactical move even from Advani who knew RSS would eventually support him only. RSS is using only the “progress” ploy of Modi in Gujarat to garner both Muslim non-Hindu votes on performance plank.

Recent days clouded Indian media with fake stuff like Modi as Indian PM, etc. The extreme right wing party the RSS led bjp tries all tricks to be in the news until the next general poll polls next year even before. Hindutva forces in the regime and parties and media make BJP a formidable force to reckon with. However, facts and reality clearly show BJP cannot come to power at the centre.

The whole idea to project a Hindu monster Modi as PM candidate is to terrorize both Hindus and Muslims, among others, to worry about Indian future and garner support Congress party. The fact that Modi killed hundreds of Muslims in Gujarat state where he rules is evident indication that he cannot be PM of India.

Nor LK Advani who floated BJP upon the disintegration of the former ruling party Janata Party by adding “Bharatiya” to the then defunct name Janata Party is not going to let Modi tasked over the tall PM seat which he thinks he deserves more than Modi.

Remember, Advani had earlier missed the PM post narrowly as he was already deputy PM under Vajpayee and he has been longing for the PM chair for too long. Since there was a fierce opposition by many to Advani as PM of India because of his direct involvement in the ghastly destruction of Babri Mosque in Uttar Pradesh, Vajpayee with a better face was preferred to fool the Indians.

It was during the BJP rule that Indian state machinery, including media and even judiciary, has become somewhat Hindutva as the BJP consciously recruited the RSS and anti-Islamic elements in the government services. .

Hindus in India are as much annoyed with BJP as any other party in the pa country for their poor performance and corrupt practices. There is just a remote chance that people of India would now trust the corrupt BJP party or vote them overwhelmingly to power. After all, the ruling Congress party now presents itself as more pro-Hindu party than ever before.

By the by, let me caution you all. Whether Congress or BJP comes to power after the next poll, the country would continue to be controlled by USA, World Bank, IMF, ultra capitalists and imperialist forces. BJP and Congress have pursued the same policies economically, politically, internationally. Opposition has stopped functioning responsibly in India.

Observation
It seems the poor Indians have no place in emerging capitalist India and they are only expected to leave the country and work abroad only to send foreign currency regularly to mother land so that the already rich Indians could use it for self advancement while the state could claim high economic growth. Please don't laugh at the fate of poor in Independent India where every thing is done to keep the rich in good humor!!

Poverty remains intact in Gujarat while rich become richer. by using development schemes. Is it a real development? People should be prepared for even harder life as prices of essential commodities are going to rise many times in order to help the multinationals and other capitalist varieties externally.

Judiciary can do a lot if it bans the persons with criminal charges or records to contest elections or hold offices of power.

Russia and Belarus Argue over BRIC

* From a CTV Report

The Investigative Committee of Belarus has detained and indicted "BRIC" CEO Vladislav Baumgertner. This is related with the scam on the redistribution of the world potash market and huge financial losses on the Belarusian side.

However, once a friendly company "Uralkali" is now more associated with the tycoon Suleiman Kerimov. Russian bloggers jokingly calls his business is not "Uralkali" and "Ukralkaly."

The Investigative Committee expressed willingness to declare an international arrest warrant. Known not only for adventures with beautiful women and possession of FC "Anji", but the numerous allegations of raider attacks business. And now, it seems that the accused party wants to introduce potash business as a political, not economic.

On the week, the Russian business bartenders offered Belarusians try a new cocktail. To prepare the needed decent potassium salt brought from Soligorsk mines and oil, by the way, the one that flows into the oil pipeline "Druzhba".

Why this mix was in the glass, now becomes clear. Let's start with potassium. More precisely, "Belaruskali" and "BRIC". Since 2005, the two companies agreed to jointly promote their product, ie fertilizers, to the world markets through a single trader - "BPC". The next 5 years, international experts have dubbed it the "Golden Age of salt." But in 2010, when the tycoon Suleiman Kerimov became a shareholder in the "BRIC", problem started among the partners. depths of the blue-eyed, of course, no one.

Delyagin, director of the Institute of Globalization (Russia)

I know the course of action and behavior of Russian oligarchic structures. So, what happens to the "BPC"?

Dmitry Kharitonchik, deputy head of sales "BPC":

Requests came from Russia by Russian consumers for the supply of potash fertilizers, we were forced to respond to these requests within our pricing policies established by management BPC. Naturally, these specific sales inquiries ended in a very significant number of cases.

Dmitry Prohotsky, acting Deputy General Director for Commerce and logistics of "Belaruskali":

Russian management conducted a policy of containment of Belarusian Potash supply to Russian market. Although we have seen that the interest among Russian consumers to our product is.

Valery Polkhovskiy, a financial analyst:

A ktsii BRIC fluctuated between 220-240 rubles. Since early July, began to fall closer to the middle of July, the fall accelerated and reached the level of 160 rubles, a decline of around 25%.

Cyril Benedictine, a political scientist (Russia):

The plan is likely to was this: the market from falling to weaken the position of "Belaruskali" on the world market and to put forward an ultimatum to the leadership of Belarus. And then buy "Belaruskali" at a low price. In Russian conditions, such plans tend to fail - it's such a civilized form of hostile takeover. But here Belarusians made their move. Obviously, the oligarchic attack on the Belarusian potash market was repelled and repulsed successfully.

It turns out that in a cocktail of Russian business bartenders mixed up a lot more than just potassium and oil. Greed alone, cunning and other losses for the third, fourth, fifth ... In addition, the text of the recipe every day adds new and often illegal ingredients.

Fanatic Terrorism: Muzzafarnagar Massacre, India

A Little Girl Injured in Muzzafarnagar Riot

By Dr. Abdul Ruff

Massacre of Muslims in Muzzafarnagar by majority Hindus backed by authorities is not the first of kits kind in secular India; Nor is it the last tragedy  to  befall on  ill-fated Muslims in this country. Indian Muslims are born here to get terrorized, and killed and also punished for nothing- only to make Hindus happy.

Communal violence remains the main stream politics  to strengthen vote banks and Muslims are the target of  these essentially state sponsored attacks on  hapless Muslims living  in India at the mercy of Hindus and their leaders and regime.

When partition took place Muslims who now live in India chose to remain in India on the assurances given by Congress party  and regime that their lives and interests would be protected. But  are they keeping their word?

Muslims are not even treated as let legitimate  humans with dignity. USA has given special power to India to treat Muslims in India and Kashmir as it sees fit. All that Americans want is Indian money and tax support.

When the Muslims  ask even  their little sons to  promote the Hindu prestige in all possible ways that amounts to  defaming of Islam that only shows how shabbily  the Muslims are placed in India.

India just tolerates Muslims but  that  Muslims can feel safe here.

India helps only those Muslims that  are 100% loyal to the ruling party and promote Hinduism and Hindutva policies of the state.

Muslims in India are being controlled by the regime , media and politicians. They are being terrorized by the regime and its various agencies supported by judiciary and media.

Ill-fate of Indian Muslims is of their own making by playing willingly into the dirty hands of politicians and now they position is reduced to vote bank material.

Because of slavery behavior of Indian Muslims the Muslims in India occupied Jammu Kashmir are also suffering under the brute forces of military and intelligence.

Indian Muslims must realize  that India is an aggressive Hindutva nation with a fake democracy  facade  to fool the world

Indian Muslims and their political leader fools should know that Indian state and regional government  promote Hindutva forces and Hinduism indoors and abroad and any attempt by Muslims to  obtain any equality or  some respect would be dealt with sternly by the  state and its judiciary/

It is time Muslims in India realized the hard truth about their own plight in a Hindu nation. They must stop misusing religion and mosques for Hindu party politics and Indian sports and entertainments,

Indian Muslims need not promote all anti-Muslim nonsense being promoted by the state, media and sport mafia ! They should promote Islam and Islamic way of life  instead of asking their boys to   do nasty things to help India win in sports and cricket by mischief .

They should pray in mosques for protection of Muslims and mosques from the onslaught by the state-media-intelligence-police and military  networks. Imam should give up hidden prayers meant to help anti-Islamic forces.  Imams should know Abdul Nassar Madani's crude fate at the fascist hands of Indian state for years now can  reach them as well- if not here  at-least in the life hereafter.

Congress and other  parties pretend to be supporting  their  ill-fated Muslims while the Hindutva forces attack them in open for Hindu votes. But they  are mischievous people -crooks .

These parties also host or fund some Muslim media portals only to promote their political  cause and do not help Muslims.

Otherwise,  the state and politicians would continue to use them as mere vote bank stuff on payment basis.

World therefore care a damn for the pathetic plight of Indian Muslims.

Today's world is deadly anti-Islamic as US led NATO rogue states and Israel keep killing Muslims calling them as terrorists.

Indian Muslims are born to suffer !

Will God help them when they want political and money protection and don't seek God's protection?

The issue here is very serious one. These so-called Muslims do not actually believe in Islam  do not believe in the "hereafter life", all that they know is they will also die like others  do and  after death there is nothing more, except burial.  Is it the Islamic faith?

Every religion believes in life after death. But Muslims are supposed to fear God alone! Is that happening?

Islam is not merely a set of formalities and rituals for favors from the important persons or regime. ,

No Indian looks like a real Muslim committed to Islam but most them  have a dramatically  hypocritical Arab face

By playing second fiddle to politicians, Muslims in India have preferred to be semi-slaves of majority fanatics. Islam is not their concern but they place political parties above Islam and God.  That is the reason why Muslims in India have lost human honor and self-prestige.

The  cold murders of Muslims in Uttarpradesh where Babri Mosque is situated is the  result of wrong  slavery attitude of Indian Muslims to politicians, existing only to serve their cause and get some coins .

No point in wasting crocodile tears on the Islamic genocides by Hindus in Muzzafarnagar or any where in India.

Syria Crisis: Is Religion Behind the International Apathy?

Houla Massacre in Syria: Children Gassed to Death

BY DR. ABDUL RUFF

As they used to play this during the so-called Cold War, former super powers, Russia and USA continue their competitive efforts to enhance their global influence by fueling the crises in regions- now in Syria where an adamant president Assad refuses to step down or announce polls for a new president. As part of the so-called Arab Spring, Syria is also being destabilized by the west backed   rebel demonstrators being used against the president.

All efforts by USA and its NATO members have failed to invade Syria owing to consistent opposition from Russia and China using their veto, but the situation in Syria has become too complicated as Sunni Arabs still pursue the ouster or murder of Assad.

Explosions continue to rock Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan - all still occupied by foreign forces led by the Pentagon. Syria suffers  too because of western  mischief against lslam.

USA and Russia seem to have agreed on the need to convene a long-delayed Syrian peace conference in Geneva as soon as possible, but they, as usual, offered no concrete plan to bring the warring government and rebels to the table.
Moscow and Washington have been trying since May to organize an international peace conference to bring an end to the violence in Syria that has killed some 100,000 people in two years. But hopes that it can take place soon are fading quickly.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said much of his meeting with his US counterpart John Kerry was devoted to Syria and both men agreed they needed to convene a so-called Geneva 2 conference "as soon as possible. He told reporters after five hours of political and security meetings in Washington that officials from the two countries will meet again by the end of the month to prepare for the Syria talks.  "John Kerry assured me that the opposition would be persuaded to come to Geneva without any preconditions on the basis of reaching agreement with the government," said Lavrov.

Russia claims to have already won the agreement of its ally the Syrian government to send a delegation to Geneva without any preconditions.
Kerry opened Friday's meeting saying that while Washington and Moscow differ on aspects of the Syria crisis, "both of us and our countries agree that to avoid institutional collapse and descent into chaos, the ultimate answer is a negotiated political solution." Lavrov in his opening remarks said they agreed to do everything they could to meet the goal they had set to unify the Syrian government and opposition - and "force terrorists out of Syria."

A U.S. official said Washington was working closely with the Syrian opposition but the onus was on Damascus."The test is not whether the Syrian government will come to Geneva …the test is whether the Syrian government will come to Geneva prepared to negotiate the transition of full executive powers to a transitional governing body."

Kerry and Lavrov originally announced that they would try to hold the conference, which is intended to bring rebels and representatives of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's government to the negotiating table, by the end of May. But the date keeps slipping partly because the rebels are split and cannot decide who should represent them. First the talks were bumped to June, then July.
The point of the conference was to revive a plan adopted last year in Geneva. At that time, Washington and Moscow agreed on the need for a transitional Syrian government, but left open the question of whether Assad could participate in the process.

Modalities needed for talk have become the stumbling block. The USA, like the Syrian rebels, says Assad and his family should play no role in a transitional government, though Russia says there should be no conditions on the talks.
Besides, both Lavrov and Kerry acknowledged their sharp differences over former U.S. spy contractor Edward Snowden and other issues going into the so-called "2+2" talks, the first such top-level meeting since 2008. The Snowden affair and the cancellation of the summit have taken U.S.-Russian relations to one of their lowest points since the Cold War and Obama will have done little to ease the mood by saying that the Russian president can sometimes appear "like a bored kid in the back of the classroom."

Notes
West is the problem for Mideast. They want to kill all strong leaders in Arab world one by one and create puppets to advance US interests. They are inciting violence in Syria by misusing the rebels.  They neither kill or remove Assad nor let him rule so that Syria returns to normalcy.

In fact the enemies of Islam do not wish any peace in Islamic world.
The Lavrov-Kerry talks took place despite US President Barack Obama's decision to cancel a summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin following Moscow's decision to grant temporary asylum to Snowden.

The big problem is the US being tardy to the party. After two years of civil war the Radical Islamic groups have entrenched themselves in the resistance so far that none  has any clue at this point as to who would be an ally to the US and who would not. Some comments made by Americans wanting Pentagon to take over the world by military force and control world resources by force with agents recruited from across the globe: Please politicians, over one billion dollars has been sent to the Syrian Rebels. That is money earned by the American workers and sent to Syria. Do you Politicians have no shame?

Just like in Egypt where the Muslim Brotherhood that won the polls to cease power has been illegally ousted by the military while the US now stood idly by and watched a second civil war in Egypt in as many years. The USA needs to stop leading from behind by shielding the rebels!

Battlefield gains by Assad have added to questions about when and even whether the talk  will take place. The humanitarian group Oxfam America said it was "cautiously optimistic" about Lavrov's statements, but that it had heard talk of peace talks before. "We have seen similar promises come and go without any noticeable action," no firm date or plans are in place." "Calls for peace must be supported by action and commitment. Otherwise, talk is cheap". U.N.-Arab League peace mediator Lakhdar Brahimi, who held talks with senior U.S. and Russian officials in Geneva, ruled out a peace conference before August.

Many Americans want Obama to take the foreign aid back giving to Egypt and use it to help the poor Americans and repair US infrastructure. Anyone who disagrees with that is no American.

What Happens When UNMIN Exits From Nepal ?

By Divas

UN Under Secretary General for Political Affairs B Lynn Pascoe wrapped up his 40-hours visit to Nepal after talking to more than 40 personalities directly involved in the integration and rehabilitation of Maoist combatants within UNMIN's Jan. 15, 2011 deadline. The visit is significant as an indication of the Security Council's intention to follow closely developments in the Nepal's peace process during the final months of UNMIN. Pascoe will report his findings to the Security Council on Wednesday.  During his earlier visit to Nepal in March, Pascoe had strongly objected to the criticism of UNMIN as unfair and absurd and criticized the present Madhav Kumar Nepal Government and his political allies for blaming the UN mission to “cover up their failures”.

The debate on the fate of Maoist Army has intensified with the Maoist Party’s insistence on integrating the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) guerillas into the National Army, and on the other hand, the opposition Nepali Congress’s  strong reservation over integrating PLA into the National Army. The Terai parties like MJF & TMDP also have strongly objected to what they call “wholesale integration” of the Maoist guerillas into the Army. Similarly, Nepal Army Chief Chatraman Singh Gurung  has reiterated his predecessor Rukmagad Katwal’s Army policy of accepting only those “deemed fit through free competition.”

Tackling the issue of “integration” or “rehabilitation” of around 20,000 UNMIN certified Maoist combatants would be the most daunting task for the political leaders after the peaceful abolition of monarchy and promulgation of republic in Nepal two year’s back. However, some Nepal Army officers claim that “integration” of the guerillas would not be of much concern provided the politicians refrained from attaching their personal egotism with the issue and begin vigorous but informal track-three consultations among the stakeholders.

There is a widespread concern among the commoners that if the UNMIN really exits from Nepal in January 2011 and if the integration issue is not resolved by then, there is a real danger of the issue flaring up into another armed conflict.

An Adoptive Mom’s Plea to United States Government

*Author's Identity Withheld on Request

I am one of the US adoptive parents adopting from Nepal. On August 6th 2010, US suspended inter-country adoption program from Nepal. The wordy and heartbreaking notice posted on US Department of State’s website (http://www.state.gov/r/pa/prs/ps/2010/08/145767.htm) was essentially to tell US citizens who did not receive the referral before August 6th to give up seeking adoptions from Nepal, and ask those parents who received referral before suspension to be prepared for the worst scenario. I am posting my voice here to hope that anyone came across this message to help us fight for the following causes:

First we need to fight for the Nepali orphans to have the right to a forever family.

Second we need to fight for the families that have a referral of a child to get their child home safely and in a timely manner. (We do not wish to see the indefinite delay for the reunion of the 80 families in the pipeline due to the complexity of the structure within the US government, which could mean layers of approval requirements from one office to another).

Third we need to help fight for those families that have submitted dossiers into Nepal Ministry of Women, Children and Social Welfare but are waiting for a child.

As an adoptive parent, I do want ethical adoptions in Nepal, but I am also hoping that US government is taking into account Nepalese culture and ways of life. When a parent abandons a child in the US do we have to ask why? So why is the US asking Nepal this? Would a Nepali mother tell people in her village that she abandoned her child, would she do it in public, is she shamed how she would be treated in her village....? Is it that the US thinks that the policemen in Nepal are stealing the children? Then we need to investigate if there is such corruption in Nepal, is this common in their culture. If a family has had their child stolen do they not shout out for help in their village? Does the US have a person that has been educated in Nepalese culture to help with these sorts of questions in order to fully understand what is going on with finding orphans with very little information?

We know that US is allowing adoption programs in some other countries that have similar issues. In China adoption program, very few biological parents would step out to admit they abandoned their kids because of the shame and fear of legal sanctions. Most Chinese orphans adopted to US have no information of their biological parents, and just for the record, China is not a country totally innocent of corruption charges… If US government can solve these issues in China’s adoption program and other western countries are able to work with China to carry out a well-organized adoption program, I am confident that they will be able to work out a solution with Nepal government to solve the very similar problems. I am urging Nepal government and US government to keep working together to find a solution for these Nepali orphans as soon as possible.

It is very tragic that these adorable Nepali children may have to remain in orphanages (where they have already lived for one or more years) for the rest of their childhood because the US Department of State is now reviewing each abandonment case on a guilty until proven innocent view instead of an innocent until proven guilty burden. These children who have been abandoned for years living in an orphanage are not going to be given a visa to the US to come and live with their forever family that will provide a safe, loving and nurturing home because their original abandonment cannot be substantially verified. That is, these Children might not have any  opportunity simply                because these mothers/family members/relatives will go to all costs not to be identified due to the Nepalese culture, norms and rules. Doesn't sound reasonable, does it?

I hope that the US government is taking into account these things.

Lastly, I would like to request that you help the orphans and the adoptive families to be joined together as soon as possible. Please advocate for these children now. Hurry, time is of the essence.

Thanks for your time and thanks in advance for your immense support.

Corruption in Nepal Child Adoption Business

*Authors' Names Withheld on Request

We are the adoptive parents expecting a baby from Nepal. Nepal adoption process has been much delayed due to what happened recently. Several parents already withdrew from the process and switched to Ethiopia adoption program because they are tired of waiting (They had waited 3 years). We are still hanging in there, and we hope things will move forward in Nepal, and we really adore Nepali children. We are just wondering what is really going on with "Ministry of Women, Children and Social Welfare". Are you familiar with this organization (www.mowscsw.gov.np)?

They are responsible to process all international adoptions from Nepal, and we are under the impression that one of the key positions in the department remains vacant, and nobody is really doing anything right now. If you know anything about current situation of this organization, We'd appreciate your help if you share your knowledge with us.

The parents adopting from Nepal are getting very desperate, rumors are circling around... We really don't know who to believe.  We are not supposed to get too much insider information during adoption process, but our fear is building up due to increased uncertainties. We hope all the children in orphanage are being properly cared, and the situation in Nepal will get better.

We are better off than many other parents adopting from Nepal. Lots of them have waited for over 2 years. We stay busy at work just to keep our mind off the adoption, because there is nothing we can do now to accelerate the Nepal adoption process. One of the other adoptive parents is flying to Nepal soon to personally find out what is really going on, I am afraid he is going to waste his effort, because situation will not change just because he is there.

We know Nepal government has a lot of other more important projects rather than taking care of international adoption. Whatever happens, we hope it will be the best for your people.

India Votes 2009: Billionaires' Polls: Hindutva, Islam, & Democracy

india_polls_2009

By Dr. Abdul Ruff

I

Essentially the billionaire' poll going on in India to make way officially for the rich people among others to enter Parliament as people's representatives is indeed a mockery of democracy. On the one hand the poll is being imposed on unwilling Kashmiris as the freedom leaders have announced a boycott of the Indian poll in an alien Jammu Kashmir now under hegemonic and brutal Indian occupation.. One other, the crucial issues of Babri Mosque reconstruction and surredering of Kashmir soverignty have not been raised in the campign, but the nation has to resolve the issues at the earliest.

Biggest joke is Indian polls being “free & fair”, while the opposite is true. Power of money and muscle as well as blackmail politics is the hall mark of Indian poll and politics and Muslims are the sufferes. India is being literally ruled by the billionaires and other varieties of multinational industrialists by keeping a regime of its liking. They finance national and regional politics, polls, cricketism, nuclearism, terrorism and many other activities both openly and hidden. Earlier these "special" category of "democrats" used to employ politicians as candidates for polls both for the Parliaments and state legislatures, but now many of them have popped up themselves as the prospective Parliamentarians for the next Parliament. Many of the today’s candidates for Parliament to make law for the Indian nation have criminal records, some of them alarmingly serious ones.

Indian billionaires and multi-nationals and other big industrialists are holding a poll to reelect a regime to pursue their global interests with the help of political outfits in the country through a properly constituted election commission to support their cause. Major issues like Kashmir and reconstruction of grand Babri Mosque destroyed during the Congress regime in 1992 are not at all raised in the poll in consensus efforts by all politicians-bureaucrats-intelligence with a view not to appeasing the Muslims in any way but only use them just as the usual vote banks. It means, the Hindus consider Muslims as fools of the worst category and Muslims also seem to admit that.

II

Both Hindu Congress and Hindutva BJP have same or similar agenda in India and one uses the other to stay in politics while the Hindutva elements control both these national parties. Destruction of Grand Babri Mosque was indeed a joint agenda of both and the operation was meticulously engineered by entrusting the Congress premier Narasimha Rao to “do the job” and he did by using the Hindu terrorists, military and polices forces to pull down the historic Mosque in Uttar Pradesh. No party, right, centre or Left, now talks about the Hindu agenda of Babri Mosque and Indian Hindus think the matter is closed for now. Indian premier pledged before Indian nation that the Mosque would be reconstructed at the very site where it stood, but till date Indian government has not done it. Congress is using BJP & co to save its skin. They only threat to pull down some more Mosques.

Israel is used by the USA and Europe as a regional weapons depot to transfer arms to the needy customers in the Third world. India has emerged as one of heaviest purchasers of Israeli arms. In order to track Muslims in India and Kashmir Indian leaders, both Congress and BJP, entered into military contract with Zionist Israel for weapons worth thousands of crores of rupees in which many party bigwigs get lucrative commissions. The BJP regime went for a 5,000 crores for “Barak missiles” and when the Congress came to power a CBI enquiry was instituted on the contract and bribery, but the congress recently signed a contract with Israel for 10,000 crores of weapons, obviously to kill Muslims in the region, and asked the CBI to get out of sight. That is Congress and BJP and their Hindutva links against Muslims and Islam.

As it was expected when offered the premiership to him, Manmohan and the likes have been serving the multinationals in the country and west. A recent report highlights the fact that now many of the aspiring Parliamentarians are billionaires themselves, but the political outfits who float them now rather boldly as the best stuff for the Parliament also claim they want people to elect them to serve the ordinary people. An old Joke? Can mafias, criminals, terrorism financiers, frauds and the likes offer any better governance? Indian Muslims are least bothered about all this, they just want their "favorite party" to win by all "means" and they are satisfied with a few coins offered by the Hindu leaders for their "services". They don’t mind if the Congress-BJP combines pulls down some mosques and keep the Muslims fully terrorized.

III

A vote for Congress party by a Muslim in India is a vote against Mosque and, hence, against their religion Islam and fellow Muslims. Both Congress (and BJP), the Hindu parties, are using some Muslim agents to use internet to mischievously make them vote for Congress automatically just by opening their dirty emails. If one opens the dubious email your vote is automatically cast for UPA- Congress. Though it is only a joke and does not mean anything in reality, still such dubious means being employed by Congress and BJP and other Hindu parties without even raising the issue of Babri Mosque and Kashmir problem is illegal and immoral. It is shameful that Muslims, unable to make Congress recommit itself for the reconstruction of Grand Babri Mosque still, shamelessly canvas for the Hindu forces that destroyed the Babri Mosque on false notions and annexed Jammu Kashmir and killed thousands of innocent Muslims in Kashmir as well as in India.

Congress is a party with hidden agendas against Muslims in India and around and the BJP which s a byproduct of Congress, just support them. Destruction of Babri Mosque and other historic mosques in India has been the target of Congress party but it uses BJP to achieve that object. Muslims cannot deceive themselves and their religion or insult their beliefs by voting the Congress or BJP. It is not to suggest that others parties are better, they all are one and same rotten stuff but they are not directly involved in the ghastly destruction of Babri Mosque and invasion of Jammu Kashmir, however, they also don’t demand the reconstruction of Babri Mosque and vacating the Jammu Kashmir converted by terrorist India as a terror zone.

In projecting BJP as the big threat to Islam and Muslims, Congress has taken Muslim support for granted. Similarly, the Communists and other Third front parties have ensured the bulk of votes of the Muslims sandwiched between Congress and BJP extremist dramas. Congress, a covert Hindutva party, is using, by usual secret arrangement, the Hindutva BJP as a threat to woo the Muslims to vote for Congress which in fact is also a terrific threat to Islam. By just ignoring the calls for vote to these anti-Islamic political outfits, Muslims would in fact honor their religion, their God ALLAH and dignity of Muslims, without fear of backlash form these Hindu outfits, because worst has already been done to Indian Muslims all spheres.

IV

Most Muslims feel they have no proper choices and India has created all possibilities to elect only those the Indian regime offer to them. Muslims have, thus, have a choice among those who destroyed the Grand Babri Mosque, those who created the opportunity for the ghastly demolition by the Hindu terrorists and those who indirectly support tit and never opposed it or asked Indian regime to rebuild the Mosque as promised. The power-cum-benefits sharing tactics of Muslim League and other similar outfits have indeed harmed the Muslims genuine interests and emboldened the Indian state to honor the commit to the nation and world on Babri Mosque.

Grand Babri Mosque was pulled down in 1992 (on the false information supplied by the former Indian rulers from UK) by Indian Hindu terrorists with the backup of state and security forces. Politicians, essentially anti-Muslim, rule India on behalf of industrialists who finance their campaigns. After this poll, many industrialists would become ministers and occupy important positions. Can a poll meant to retain the billionaires in power through a government help the common people, especially the hapless Muslims in a basically Hindu India? Hindu parties and their governments have been fooling the Muslims for decades now. Muslims have to get away from their pressure tactics and ponder over their pathetic existence as well as threat plight in India at least while voting, if at all they choose to vote. Once Muslims begin to think one can expect a basic shift in Indian politics, for, Grand Babri Mosque would be back at its original site; Kashmiris will obtain their sovereignty back from an arrogant and hegemonic India. Muslims will get their legitimate dues in national development, hitherto denied by "secular & democratic" India.

V

As a strategic partner, India is like Israel and USA with hidden agendas to reduce the population of global Muslims and defame Islam by projecting it as a religion of terrorists and killing Muslims by branding them as terrorists, including suspected ones. India, basically ruled by Congress party and its allies, is employing all tricks to marginalize and terrorize the hapless Muslim population in the country. Indian industrialists once elected, don’t require the political MPs for advancing their interests around the world and now even get their own representatives as ambassadors and high-commissioners and other high officials abroad and indoors. Now elections are due shortly and many billionaires, private terrorists, criminals, national pick-pockets, liquor & other mafias and international frauds would reach the Parliament to make laws for “secular & democratic” India. They would use terrorism plank to loot the nation.

In fact, it does not matter who will be the next premier in India which has not so far produced any normal premier- let alone good or great with a vision- who is fare-minded and would take decisions independent of Hindu pressure groups and other capitalist lobbies, and capable of tracking Hindu terrorists and other trouble-shooters for minorities firmly.

The moot issue, therefore, is not which party or alliance would secure more seats and who would be the next premier. In fact, it does not actually matter whether a soft Hindutva regime led by Congress or an extremist Hindutva alliance led by BJP or even a third or fourth front without any program would form the government. But the real issue would be whether the Indian leadership would at all shed its anti-Islamic and anti-Muslim mindset first and then think about the genuine interest of Muslims including the Babri Mosque! Indian façade of democracy and secularism is fake is used to fool the world, but the leaders keep confusing the world with these concepts.

(PS. This is not my personal issue, but an issue concerning Islam and the Muslims across the globe)

European Scene: Poll & Crisis in Moldova

Map

By Dr. Abdul Ruff

I

Moldova or Moldavia, a former Republic of the Soviet Union and now a part of “democratic” Europe, however, remains, like the Central Asian states that also once formed the parts of the USSR, one of the pro-communist dispensations. Moldavians went to the polls on April 05 to vote for a new parliament that will in course choose a replacement for President Vladimir Voronin, the only Communist leader in Europe and the former Soviet Union. Voronin, in office since 2001, cannot stand for a third consecutive term but has made it plain that he wants to remain close to power by taking another senior post in the manner of Prime Minister Vladimir Putin in Russia.

The final election results released on April 08 showed the Communist Party with 49.5% of the vote, winning 60 parliamentary seats. That is one seat less than the number required for the party to control the presidential election. Three other parties are more amenable to working with the Communists, and they may pass the 6 percent of support needed to gain a seat in the parliament. The Communists need 61 seats if they want to vote through their candidate for the presidency. No candidate has been named so far. The Communists gain much of their support from the older generations and civil servants.

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has already congratulated Voronin on his party's election win, and the Foreign Ministry said Russia was deeply concerned by the events in Moldova.  The Moldova parliament elects the president, and the Communists appeared very close to securing the 61 seats they need in the 101-seat assembly to secure victory for their chosen candidate.  Voronin's Communists, who held 56 of the 101 seats in the outgoing parliament, are far ahead in a field of 15 parties, with support of 36 percent. Three opposition parties, broadly favoring closer ties with Romania and the European Union, lie far behind. Voronin did not rule out forming a coalition in the parliament, saying, "It would be good for as many parties to get in ... then there'll be someone with whom to create a coalition."

Opposition leaders said the election result was fraudulent. Moldova's president has since called for a full recount of disputed elections won by the ruling Communist Party, bowing to a key demand of protesters who stormed the parliament. Moldovan President Vladimir Voronin said in an official statement: "I am convinced that a complete recount of votes will become a major argument for maintaining political stability, peace and mutual trust in Moldova".

Meanwhile, about 10,000 demonstrators massed for a second day in the capital of Europe's poorest country to denounce the vote as rigged. The opposition called for ballots to be recounted or the vote to be re-held. Most of the protesters are students who see no future if Communists keep their hold on the former Soviet republic of 4 million people -- located on the European Union's border but within what Russia sees as its sphere of influence. They hurled computers into the street while police took cover behind riot shields. Moldovan protesters ransacked the president's offices and the parliament on April 07in violent protests over parliamentary elections that President Vladimir Voronin said amounted to a "coup d'etat, referring to opposition leaders." RIA-Novosti reported that the authorities and opposition leaders agreed to a recount of votes cast in Sunday's parliamentary election, which was easily won by Voronin's Communist Party. Voronin said in a television address that opposition leaders had embarked on a "path to the violent seizure of power." He said the authorities "would resolutely defend the state against the leaders of the pogrom."

Some of the protesters had carried Romanian flags and called for the unification of Moldova with Romania, its bigger neighbour and even shouted "We are Romanians".  Protesters overwhelmed riot police protecting both the president's office and the parliament -- located opposite each other on the capital Chisinau's main boulevard -- and poured into both buildings through smashed windows. They heaped tables, chairs and papers onto a bonfire outside parliament, and fires could also be seen in some of the building's windows. Some people gathered to demand the release of the 193 people reportedly arrested. Vlad Filat, leader of the Liberal Democratic Party, called the demonstrations "a spontaneous action by protesting young people". He said the opposition had tried to prevent excesses.

II

Protestors indirectly sought to end communist regime and also seek better ties with neighboring Rumania. They however did not demand the resignation of Voronin. The leaders of three opposition parties that won seats in parliament spoke to reporters after emerging from talks with Moldova's president and prime minister in the aftermath of protests that caused serious damage to government buildings. They sought to stop violence. "We must stop this violence, secure the right to a recount of all the votes. And we demanded the right to stage peaceful protests “Dorin Chirtoaca, leader of the Liberal Party and mayor of Chisinau, said. Vlad Filat of the Liberal Democrats said the opposition, which stands broadly for closer ties with neighboring Romania, was demanding the right to check all electoral lists.. "As a result of this, I can assure you that the elections were rigged and we will organize a new election."

Opposition leaders called for a halt to the protests and said they were pressing for a recount of all votes cast. Moldovan state television said one young woman choked to death from carbon monoxide poisoning in the parliament building. It cited a senior doctor at Chisinau emergency hospital as saying 34 other protesters had been injured, including two in a serious condition in hospital. Some 80 police officers also received treatment for injuries, it said. Some demonstrators were seen chasing police away after seizing truncheons and riot shields

Officials in Moldova and Russia accused Romania of fomenting the riots, but witnesses said they were spontaneous. Moldova's president has accused neighboring Romania of stoking the protests that erupted into violence in the capital Chisinau. Romania has rejected the accusation as a "provocation". Vladimir Voronin, a communist, was quoted by Russian agency Interfax saying: "We know that certain political forces in Romania are behind this unrest. The Romanian flags fixed on the government buildings in Chisinau attest to this." He ordered that Romania's ambassador be expelled, recalled the Moldovan envoy from Bucharest, and said Romanians would in future need visas to cross into Moldova. But Romania's foreign ministry said: "This accusation is a provocation aimed at the Romanian state." It is "unacceptable that the Communists in power in Chisinau shift the blame for internal problems in Moldova onto Romania and the Romanian people", the statement added.

III

International observers said the vote appeared to have been fair. The EU sent an envoy to Moldova to mediate in the dispute between President Voronin's Communist Party and the three centre-right opposition parties. Observers from the European security body, the OSCE, concluded that the vote had been generally fair, but opposition parties and many students accused the authorities of fraud. A report by the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe’s vote gave a mostly positive assessment of the poll. But the BBC in Moscow says that any Romanian connection with the uprising is to do with economics, rather than politics. EU foreign policy Chief Javier Solana called on all sides to show restraint and to refrain from violence and provocation..

Moldova is one of six former Soviet states with which the EU is due to launch a new program of enhanced ties at a summit in Prague next month. Moldova, sandwiched between Romania and Ukraine, is the poorest country in Europe, where the average wage is just under $250 (£168) a month. The people speak Romanian and the country shares many cultural links with Romania. However it was annexed by the Soviet Union in World War II and gained independence in 1991. There remains an unresolved conflict with the breakaway region of Trans-Dniester, which has run its own affairs, with Moscow's support, since the end of hostilities in a brief war in 1992.

President Voronin, in power since 2001, is governing a country where poverty has pushed a quarter of adults to work abroad. Voronin has overseen stability and economic growth since 2001 but has been unable to solve the rebellion in its Russian-speaking breakaway region of Transdnestr, where Russia has had troops since Soviet times. The region, like in previous elections, boycotted Sunday's vote. With little mineral resources, Moldova's economy depends on agriculture, including wine production, and remittances from the hundreds of thousands who left the country to work in EU states. The global economic crisis threatens to aggravate Moldova's poverty as workers' remittances dry up.

As it stands now, Moldova's liberal, pro-Western opposition on April 14 dismissed as a "trick" a planned recount of the recent disputed election won by the ruling Communist Party and said it would take no part in the process. Opposition parties demand a new election and say they expect no new results. They say their concern is fraud with voters' lists, which they allege contain the names of dead voters and Moldovans working abroad.

Word of the demonstrations was spread by text message, via the internet, and on social networking tools. Moldovans can see the success that Romania has enjoyed since throwing off communism and joining the EU. On average, Romanians earn five times as much as their Moldovan neighbours. The conclusion that many young Moldovans have come to is that a return to communist government and close friendship with Moscow has brought them nothing. Needless to state that the Western powers are instrumental in the post-poll troubles in Moldova but their merits or otherwise cannot be diagnosed here. Voronin is due to step down, having served the maximum of two consecutive terms.
